The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program is a 12 hour interactive training program that teaches individuals how to provide assistance to a person who is experiencing a mental health crisis. The first response/ aid is given until appropriate treatment and support are received or until the crisis resolves.

Established in 1969, Comprehensive Mental Health Services, INC (CMHS) is certified by the state of Missouri Department of Mental Health and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) as a community mental health and substance abuse treatment center.
