Comprehensive Mental Health Services believes that mental wellness and freedom from substance use are achievable goals for everyone. CMHS strives to provide a diverse array of culturally competent, trauma-informed services that are accessible to the community.

Our staff is here to serve by ensuring that we treat the whole person, assisting our community members in accessing physical healthcare, mental health treatment, and substance use treatment that they may achieve wellness in every area of their lives.

As the Safety Net provider for Eastern Jackson County, CMHS provides care to those who are uninsured or underinsured. In addition, your care may be covered by health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.

Adult Community Support (ACS) Services are intended to help those with more severe behavioral health conditions to improve symptoms and support personal goals for recovery.

Behavioral Crisis Center (BCC), a Jackson County behavioral health crisis facility. The BCC is open to anyone experiencing a mental health or substance-use crisis; we welcome you to walk in today, to start getting the help you need right away.

CMHS understands that a mental health crisis may happen at any time and they provide on-site crisis services during normal business hours and 24-hour service availability through collaboration with area partners.

Treatment Family Home/Professional Parent Home/Respite Program (TFH/PPH)

There are times when a child or youth may benefit from a brief out-of-home placement. This program is open for children and youth aged 5-18 who have severe emotional and behavioral challenges.

Youth Comprehensive Substance Treatment and Rehabilitation (YCSTAR)

Youth aged 12-18 who struggle with substance use. Services provided include individual/group counseling, group education, family therapy, as well as community and peer support.

Youth Prevention Services

Prevention Specialists implement psycho-educational group curriculum to provide students K-12 with help to address: bullying, teen-dating violence, grief, loss, violence in the home/community, substance use, suicide awareness and prevention, transition to adulthood and develop emotional intelligence.
