At CMHS, we know you can’t plan your crisis. Life doesn’t observe normal 9 to 5 hours, or take holidays off. We understand those needs, and are proud to present our Behavioral Crisis Center (BCC), a Jackson County behavioral health crisis facility. The BCC is open to anyone experiencing a mental health or substance-use crisis; we welcome you to walk in today, to start getting the help you need right away. This is an 18-and-up facility.

Rapid Access Unit Services

  • Psychiatric assessment and consultation
  • Initial assessment eligibility determination
  • Induction of medication – Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid-use disorder
  • Brief therapy
  • 24-hour observation
  • Referral to appropriate follow up treatment
