CMHS is excited to announce the purchase of a new location that will allow for better access for services for those who live in the Northeastern portion of our service area. CMHS purchased the building located at 17611 E 24 HWY in Independence. Renovations are currently under way with an anticipated opening in July 2021.
Once completed, we will move the Youth Community Support programs and the Adolescent CSTAR program to this location. The yet-to-be-named building will also house therapists, intake clinicians, and medication clinic staff.
CMHS will also be partnering with the Health Care Collaborative of Rural Missouri who will house a dental clinic at this location for CMHS clients to access for a full-range of dental healthcare needs.
We now have 10 locations for service including two locations in Kansas City and eight throughout Eastern Jackson County. This building will allow for expansion of treatment to meet the increasing demand for behavioral health and substance use services.
