This location houses behavioral health Open Access, Administration, Human Resources, Outpatient Services, Crisis Services, Medication Clinic, Genoa Pharmacy, Swope Health Services, and Healthcare Home.

Carol Roper Park Vaughan Building

This location houses Adult Community Support, Housing and Employment Services, Disease Management, Integrated Treatment for Co-occurring Disorders, Medication Clinic and Psychosocial Rehabilitation (Clubhouse).

Behavioral Crisis Center (BCC)

The CMHS Behavioral Crisis Center – Rapid Access Unit is a walk-in Crisis Access point for individuals in need of immediate psychiatric care, Medication-Assisted Treatment for opioid use, psychiatric assessment, initial assessment eligibility determination, brief therapy, peer support services, 23-hour observation, referral to appropriate follow up treatment, and more. This is an 18-and-up facility.

George Norman Jr. Recovery Center

This location houses outpatient substance use services, Medication Assisted Treatment, and residential day services.

Recovery Kansas City

This location houses outpatient substance use services, Medication Assisted Treatment, and residential day services.

Pierson D. Phillips Building

This location houses Youth Community Support, Healthy Transitions, Family Support, Treatment Family Home/Professional Parent Home, Adolescent CSTAR and School-based Prevention Services. Co-located at this site is a full-service dental clinic managed by the Health Care Collaborative of Rural Missouri.

Residential Behavioral Health

Turning Point Group Home
Independence, MO

This is a 12-bed residential facility where adults with severe mental illness live and receive services targeted to help them develop independent living skills.


New Connections
Independence, MO

This is an 8-bed transitional living facility for adults who are homeless and are mentally ill and/or substance use issues. This is a six months to one-year program where residents stabilize and learn to manage their mental health/substance use and develop skills to live successfully as they transition into their own housing.

Substance Use Residential

Gateway House
Kansas City, MO

This is a 12-bed residential facility for men who are receiving substance use services. During the weekdays the men receive their treatment services at the Recovery Kansas City location.


Lotus House
Independence, MO

This is a 14-bed residential facility for women who are receiving substance use services. Women are able to bring children with them (up to school age). During the weekdays the women receive their treatment services at the George Norman Jr. Recovery Center location.
