Medication may not be necessary for the treatment of all behavioral health issues, however, when it is needed CMHS is equipped to provide a full range of medical services on-site and via tele-medicine at times convenient to meet individual needs.
The Medication Clinic is staffed by psychiatrists and advanced practice nurses (APN’s) who provide evaluation, education regarding medications, and regularly scheduled medication review. A nurse will begin each medication clinic visit with a brief evaluation. Medication Clinic nurses are also available to administer injectable medication and to answer questions about medications and refills via phone.
The Medication Clinic offers Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) services in an outpatient setting for substance use consumers to aid in their recovery journey.
Consumers who have access to a smart phone or computer and have an active internet connection may attend some medication appointments via a secure telemedicine connection.
CMHS offers a number of educational support groups that are available to anyone in the community, free of charge.
